B.A.D.G.E. (Becoming Achievers and Doers through guide Education)

BADGE is an after-school and summer program run by the Orange County Sheriffs Office for middle school youth. Though the program's focus is primarily academic enrichment, there are components of physical fitness and community involvement as well.

Boys and Girls Club After School Program

Robinswood's after school program is fun and it's free! Program times are from 4:00pm to 6:00pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday; Wednesday from 3:00pm to 6:00pm.
Our Program continues to grow!! With an average of 130 students per day, we still have room for additional students.
The program offers a range of activities that  include indoor and outdoor games, cooking, drama, homework help, computers, and arts and crafts. Pick up an application in the main office.

ESOL/PLC

The purpose of the Parent Leadership Council is to encourage parental involvement and participation in the implementation of LEP (Limited English Proficiency)  programming and achievement. Parents must be involved in the revision and implementation of the district's LEP plan and the monitoring of its implementation.

Partners in Education

PIE are business partners that provide services for our school in the form of various resources including cash. Our partners donate supplies for students to use in school and provide incentives for student behavior/goals.

Robinswood Middle School-Lockheed Martin Mentor Program

This program is now in its ninth year on the Robinswood Campus.
Each year, 18 to 25 students are selected for the program using teacher, counselor or administrative recommendations. Students are interviewed, screened,  and finally selected based on an established criteria.
Mentees learn employability skills that include interviewing, job searching, banking, and taxation.

Each student is matched with a mentor from Lockheed Martin who acts as role model, tutor, and friend. Mentors spend many hours assisting students with academic and personal issues as well as career related issues that often include field trips to colleges and job sites.
At least 25% of the participants maintain the honor roll. Mentoring truly works!

Morning Tutoring

Teachers are available Monday through Thursday from 8:20 to 9:30 am to tutor in all subjects and all three grades. Students simply need to wait at the front door for a teacher to pick them up and escort them into a classroom. For additional information, contact Kerry Ott at (407) 296-5140 extension 223.

The College Reach Out Programs (CROP) at Robinswood, in partnership with UCF and Valencia Community College, are state-funded programs designed to serve historically underrepresented and economically disadvantaged students.  Our mission is to encourage, educate and motivate students to their fullest potential.  Activities promote the value of a college education and foster academic, personal and career development through workshops, fieldtrips to colleges and universities, community service and tutoring from Valencia Community College students through our after school program.  Students in these programs have the opportunity to receive full tuition scholarships as they continue their participation in the high school level CROP.  For more information, please call Leslie Heekin, CROP Coordinator, at (407) 296-5140 ext. 247.
